Obsession of translator w/Islam is queer
The footnotes at the end of the book, almost all, are commentaries on alleged "Mohammadan legends and traditions, with few citations, no quotes of any substance, poorly sourced, reeking of Orientalist prejudice and ignoring the fact that our" Canonical " traditions called Sunnah, are the only accepted traditions and even then we do not afford it the same status as the Qur'an. Academics of this sort cite opinions from books written by Muslims as though they are accepted traditions, most of which nobody I know cares anything about if they are even aware.
It is rank deception due to European bias towards the people of the east, there are no "Mohammed (sic) traditions" outside of the Sunnah literature which word can be understood, literally, as tradition, and the Qur'an of course.
European scholars are such hacks and like the ancient pagan philosophers rarely agree on anything in full, European Academia is volumes of opinion based on literature most students will never read themselves. What a mess!
Indo-Aryan aka Indo-European language has no evidence of ever existing that is not poor speculation based on coincidence and loan words. Yet is taught as actual fact. Without a single mention of such a language in history. Go Europe! You will forever be nascent.
